Bass will likely be difficult to catch throughout the winter, but trout will still be available to anglers. Steelhead have been caught as high upstream as Hells Canyon Dam, but steelhead fishing has been slow lately. The last day for Chinook salmon fishing was October 31, and fishing for salmon will remain closed until next spring.

Sturgeon fishing can be good in the Snake River downstream of Hells Canyon Dam. All sturgeon must be released unharmed and cannot be removed from the water.

Deschutes River: Steelhead are throughout the lower river
Grande Ronde River: Fishing for steelhead has started to improve and should get better in the coming weeks
Imnaha River: Fishing for trout and whitefish can be good throughout the year
