The river is still producing good numbers of wild steelhead from Lewiston down through Del Loma. Last week's storm made things somewhat murky for a day or two below Junction City, but it cleared quickly and is fishing well. Look for more fish to come up above Douglas City. Most of the salmon have finished spawning. Fishing remains superb on nymphs and this is a good time to swing as well. These are super grabby summer run fish, you can get them on Rubberlegs, Duracells, Olive Hotspots and Copper Johns. And eggs.
