With the storm this week the river got cloudy below Weaver Creek and is dropping and clearing. The river below Junction City remains somewhat off color, we'd suggest fishing above. With that said, a lot of wild and hatchery steelhead remain from Old Bridge through Douglas City. Fishing remains superb on nymphs and this is a good time to swing as well. These are super grabby summer run fish, you can get them on Rubberlegs, Duracells, Olive Hotspots and Copper Johns. And eggs. These anadromous rainbow trout are known as the 'Fish of a Thousand Casts.' For good reason! The learning curve can be quite steep learning when and where to go, and what type of water to target.
