No retention of wild coho allowed. The wild coho fishery closed on October 27.

Angling for fall Chinook is slowing down as is the run. There are still some bright Chinook around and available to catch. The wild adult fall Chinook bag limit is 1 per day and 5 per season in the Nestucca basin as part of the overall daily bag limit. See the regulation updates online for more details.

Summer steelhead are throughout the Nestucca River fishery (up to Elk Creek). Fall can be a good time to target these fish as dropping water temperatures can make them more active and willing to bite.

Kilchis River: Fall Chinook fishing has slowed as the water has dropped and cleared
Necanicum River: Fall Chinook fishing should be slow under the current low flow conditions
Nehalem River: Fall Chinook fishing is winding down in the bay and in the mainstem Nehalem
