Bass action at both the Main and Amphitheater lakes has been running fair to good, with larger fish making more frequent appearances. Early in the morning during gray light, topwater frogs have been drawing the best strikes. As the day progresses, drop-shot rigs with shad-pattern finesse baits have been producing a few additional bites. The bluegill bite remains excellent, with anglers scoring on red worms or wax worms fished under a bobber or on a drop-shot rig.
