At Lake Havasu, an angler reported on Fishing Stage that a few days ago he paddled his kayak on a breezy morning to the south end of Mesquite Bay. He anchored in 10 feet of water and cast to the same spot where he'd caught two giant catfish a few days earlier. He soon got hit by a big one using the same blue/purple Yum plastic worm. So he boated three fish that would have been over 45 pounds total. Used 30-pound braid and 12-pound leader, seemed to work fine.

At Alamo Lake (report courtesy of Alamo Lake State Park Manager Drew Collett, 6/8/23), the bass fishing is currently good and most fish are being caught on spinner baits and lipless cranks, or drop shotting a Baby Brush Hog or worms in pumpkin or motor oil with red, silver, or blue specks.
