Castaic Lake rose to 78 percent of its storage capacity, and the lake is open for launching from the West Ramp. Anglers reported fair fishing for all species. Bass anglers worked drop shot, Ned rigs, and C3 Slim Pros in 10 to 30 feet of water. Rocky structure along main lake points seemed to hold the most fish. Striped bass reports were slow apart from a 36” jailbird that fell for a jerkbait. Catfish anglers reported catching whisker fish at the west ramp while soaking dip bait and cut sardines.
