Water level remained near ¾ of the lake’s storage capacity, and water temperatures held in the upper fifties and low sixties. Bass fishing has been good with recent storms and an algicide treatment putting a bit of a damper on an otherwise solid bite. Fish held in the 5-to-20-foot zone with anglers using drop shot, Senko style baits, and Carolina rigs to get bites. Green pumpkin, shad imitations, and brown all worked well along bluff walls and points. Check the cobble stone banks as well. Catfish anglers used cut baits and dip bait for bites, and striped bass remained elusive.
