I want to say that when compared to the previous few years fishing is down as far as the numbers caught. Typically in July we see 20 plus days but so far it’s been more like 6 to 10. This is probably due to one of the hatcheries that serves this area going down in May because of a power outage resulting in less frequent stockings by CDFW. The Rainbows that are being caught are mostly those brought in from Oregon by entities other than the State including 5 to 8 pounders. We’ll see if this trend continues through this month and August leading up to more of those Oregon fish being put in before Labor Day.
Good luck on your next fishing adventure. If you have a question. a report in our local fishing area or have a photo of your catch, send it to nevada@fishreports.com. Hope to see you on the waters. Good fishin' and tight lines.
