Topwater action has been fair during low-light periods, and crankbaits are also drawing strikes early in the day. The intense summer heat has kept most anglers off the water during peak hours, but those who venture out during the cooler parts of the day are still finding fish. Bluegill are providing steady action on live worms fished under a bobber or with a split-shot rig. Carp continue to be caught on dough bait.
