The lake remained near full capacity, with water temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. Visibility was poor, with “pea soup” conditions accurately describing the water clarity. Bass anglers found success using dark-colored Senkos and 6-inch plastic worms, with rattling weights helping attract fish in the murky water. Some anglers reported sporadic topwater action and occasional boils. Striped bass were caught on cut sardines fished Carolina style by shore anglers, while topwater lures also fooled a few line-sides. Catfish remained a reliable option, with cut sardines and chicken liver producing steady bites.
