Summer steelhead and spring Chinook can be found throughout the river. With warmer weather and water temperatures, anglers will do best targeting fish in the early morning and later evening hours. Not only are fish likely to be more aggressive at this time, but there will likely be fewer people swimming and recreating, which can present some challenges when looking for fish that have been undisturbed.

To report poaching or other violations: Call *OSP or *677 (OSP on keypad). You also can call 800-452-7888, or send an email to TIP@osp.oregon.gov between the hours of 8-5, Monday-Friday. Take photos if it is safe to do so.
