Website
Owyhee Reservoir is 69% full, all boat ramps are open with the exception of the county ramp near the dam. Bass fishing has been good so far this year with lots of healthy 2 pound largemouth and smallmouth being caught. Try topwater early and late in the day. Bass were also being caught in deeper water this time of year, up to 25 at times. We expect bass fishing to improve as brood year 2023 bass continue to grow.
There is a strong year class of smaller crappie in the 9-10 inch range this year but there are a few larger crappie throughout the reservoir.
Channel catfish are abundant in the reservoir, the best places to target catfish are relatively shallow flats throughout the reservoir. The best catfishing can be found in the Leslie Gulch area.
