Sampling last week turned showed there are some very nice trout in Malheur Reservoir right now but they are spread out and fishing has been slow. Some nice fish are still being caught using power bait, streamers and scud fly patterns. Fishing should pick up this fall as water tempertures drop.
The reservoir still has plenty of water and boat ramp is usable.
