The Upper Deschutes continues to provide consistent action. Water conditions remain favorable and anglers are finding healthy bows, brookies & whitefish.

Nymphing remains the most productive day-to-day approach. Golden Stone nymphs, CDC Hare's Ears, Perdigons, Two Bit Hookers, Soft Hackle Pheasant Tails, and smaller attractor patterns are all producing fish, particularly in the slower meadow sections and softer edges.

Dry fly opportunities continue to improve as daytime temperatures warm. PMDs, caddis, and scattered golden stone activity are becoming more consistent, especially during afternoon and evening periods. Anglers should also keep an eye out for terrestrial opportunities along grassy banks as temperatures continue to climb. Fish willing to rise are often found in softer seams, undercut banks, and slower tailouts throughout this stretch.
