This week Isabella Lake increased to 42 percent of its storage capacity. The Spring crappie bite is here. Crappie are being found in as little as 1-foot of water. Most fish are in the 1 to 5-foot zone around trees and brush. Anglers have been scoring stringers of slabs with a wide variety of minijigs in various colors. Live shiners have been scoring crappie as well. The bass bite has been up and down lately. You can find bass around the 10-foot zone with glide baits, jigs and Senkos. The trout bite is decent with Get Bent Baits, Hook Up Baits, spinners, and Garlic doused Pinched Crawlers. The annual Isabella Lake Fishing Derby is scheduled for April 12, 13 and 14, 2025.
