Kaweah Lake remained at 8% of capacity, and fishing was fair too good overall. While many anglers reported a tougher bite, others managed decent action. Spotted bass responded best to small finesse baits fished with a very slow presentation. Drop-shots, Carolina rigs, and small jigs in natural shad, green pumpkin, and tequila sunrise produced, and a few anglers also picked up fish on small crankbaits and topwater lures. Crappie were found over rock piles in 10 to 20 feet of water, where small live minnows and minijigs tipped with crappie nibbles worked for bites, though only limited reports came in for both crappie and catfish.
