ODFW and partners just finished improvements at Yellowjacket Lake northwest of Burns, including a new fishing dock and the first ODFW-designed accessible kayak launch.
The lake now features ADA-compliant parking and picnic areas, an informational kiosk, better beach access for paddlers, and boulder clusters along the shore to make fishing even easier. It's also stocked with rainbow trout up to 20 inches long!
Funding came from ODFW’s Restoration & Enhancement Program, the Oregon State Marine Board and the U.S. Forest Service.
