The lake held at 90% of its storage capacity, with water temperatures in the upper seventies, though it was closed early in the week due to the King Fire. Bass anglers reported fair to good action, with some better-grade fish in the mix; poppers and walking baits produced as the lake reopened, while Texas rigs, creature baits, and Flukes drew strikes in weed beds and over rocky structure. With an abundance of bait present, anglers who scooped live bait reported excellent results. Striped bass boiled sporadically, hitting white swimbaits, spoons, and topwater baits. Catfishing has been challenging due to heavy weed growth, but boat anglers found success in Tin Cup using chicken liver and dip bait.
