Pyramid fluctuated daily between 88% and 94% of capacity, and the water clarity was decent with temperatures in the mid to low seventies. Topwater boil fishing for bass and striper was still an option, with small Spooks, Gunfish, and Espetits all producing bites. The topwater action was less consistent than at Castaic Lake, but anglers kept a topwater option tied on. Bass also took finesse baits in green pumpkin, Prizm Shad, and Ox Blood. Striped bass up to 7 pounds were reported in the boils, and they also hit trolled umbrella rigs and cut sardines. Catfish anglers found success soaking chicken liver, dip bait, and nightcrawlers in weed-free areas.
