The bluegill bite at River Walk Lake remains excellent, with plenty of action despite many of the fish being on the smaller side. Anglers using live worms under a bobber or drop-shotted setups are finding steady success throughout the day. Bass have been most active during the early morning and late evening hours, hitting well on reaction baits, buzzbaits, Whopper Ploppers, and topwater frogs. Crappie are also showing up here and there, mostly on live red worms and small jigs tipped with nibbles.
