The lake dropped to 50% of its storage capacity, and fishing ranged from fair to good depending on the target species. Largemouth bass moved into deeper water, with anglers finding them on main lake points in 10 to 20 feet of water. Drop shot and small jigs accounted for fish up to five pounds, while poppers produced bites during early morning and evening low-light periods. Crappie were active near the marina, hitting minijigs and small swimbaits. Catfish action picked up after dark, with chicken liver and dip bait delivering solid results.
