Fall is an excellent time of year to fish the lower river. Anglers can troll the estuary for late returning fall Chinook and coho or spend some time in the river with the possibility of catching a steelhead, coho, and Chinook in the same day. All wild coho must be released unharmed.
The Huntley Park seining project has started. The project monitors fall Chinook, summer steelhead, and coho escapement into the Rogue River. Anglers can find two-week updates on ODFW's website. Anglers can also call the ODFW Gold Beach office for daily catch.
