The lake level held close to 70 percent of its storage capacity, and water temperatures remained in the low sixties. Excellent bass fishing brought out plenty of anglers with finesse baits and reaction baits taking fish. Drop shot, Senkos, Neko rigs, and small jigs all fooled bass in 2 to 25 feet of water. Green, brown, baitfish, and purple colors all landed fish. Keitechs, crankbaits, jerkbaits, and chatterbaits also saw plenty of action. It’s time to fish!!! Crappie anglers caught plenty of fish with small live minnows and minijigs in 10 to 25 feet of water. The best bet has been to meter a school of sunfish; spot lock; and fill the live well. Catfish readily ate cut mackerel, dip bait, and nightcrawlers.
