Naci dropped to 54 percent of its storage capacity, and fishing was excellent. Spotted bass roamed the 10 to 15 foot zone in wolf packs, picking up anything finesse. Darter head grubs, drop shot, and Neds all worked for bites. Dark greens and bluegill colors were top producers. Topwater fooled plenty of bass, with Whopper Ploppers, poppers, and walking baits all getting it done. White bass went after in-line spinners, spoons, and small white swimbaits, and catfish slurped up chicken liver and cut mackerel. Crappie ate small live minnows and minijigs suspended over submerged structure.
