Lake Ming has been producing a healthy bass bite lately, with anglers landing quality 4–6 lbs largemouths primarily on reaction-style baits. Chatterbaits, swimbaits (6″ soft plastics), square-bill and chatter crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and jerkbaits have all been effective—particularly around submerged structure and shaded banks during early mornings and late afternoons. Topwater baits like frogs are also scoring strikes during those prime windows. Water clarity can be stained to slightly stained, so bright bait colors such as white, chartreuse, and perch patterns are recommended. Bluegill and crappie continue to provide steady action too—caught with mini-jigs, small worms, and life baits in shallow and structured areas
