Kaweah fell to 90 percent of its storage capacity, and spotted bass fell for drop shot, hula grubs, and shaky heads in 5 to 20 feet of water. Senkos, Keitechs, and small crankbaits took fish closer to shore. Bigger females came off ledges and secondary points out deeper. Many of the females reported were skinny from the spawn. Crappie anglers did well in the Horse Creek area, with a lake regular reporting limits from his kayak while using small live minnows. Catfish anglers rigged Carolina style with cut baits and chicken liver for fair results.
