Bass anglers found good action on both largemouth and smallmouth

Pyramid Lake held around 90% of its storage capacity at the time of reporting, with water temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. Bass anglers found good action on both largemouth and smallmouth using topwater poppers and walking baits. Drop-shot and Ned rigs also produced bites, though weedless presentations were key around submerged vegetation. Crankbaits accounted for additional catches, a trend expected to continue as water temperatures cool.

Striped bass were active for anglers throwing shad-colored Espetits, Lucky Craft Gunfish, Kastmasters, and white Flukes. Trolling with umbrella rigs also produced solid results. A few crappie were reported on mini jigs near the marina, while catfish action was steady near Yellowbar for anglers using chicken liver and cut sardines.
