Catfishing has been great in the southern aqueduct, with good numbers and better-grade fish being landed. A catfish weighing near fifteen pounds was reported by a local aqueduct angler. Whisker-fish anglers found success in the mornings and evenings using Carolina rigs with cut sardines, mackerel, chicken liver, and SSS dip bait. Striped bass fishing was decent, with catches coming on cut bait and jumbo live minnows. Topwater walking baits produced during low light conditions, while jerkbaits in white and aurora black also fooled zebras. Largemouth bass hit drop shot and Texas-rigged Roboworms in green pumpkin and ox blood.
