The lake dropped to 56 percent of its storage capacity, and fishing was good. Spotted bass and largemouth were targeted in the 10- to 20-foot zone, with fish also found up shallow. Topwater walking baits and squarebills worked for bites in the mornings, with most anglers switching to finesse options later in the day. Dark green, brown, and baitfish colors all fooled bass. White bass held near shad schools, with small white swimbaits, crankbaits, and spoons all catching hybrids. Crappie fishing was solid for anglers using their electronics to locate schools over submerged structure. Minijigs and small swimbaits both took fish. Catfish anglers did well from shore while soaking cut baits and dip bait.
