The bite picked up at the aqueduct last week with catfish providing the best action as anglers scored well using cut baits, garlic nightcrawlers, and chicken liver. The striped bass bite also improved, with several seasoned locals reporting limits while “walking the dog” with sardines. Striped bass were also taken on jumbo live minnows and smaller Lucky Craft jerkbaits in Aurora Black. Bass anglers found success on drop shots and Texas-rigged Roboworms in green and brown patterns.
