The lake rose to 14 percent of its storage capacity, and bass fishing was somewhat tougher last week. Anglers caught fish on drop-shot rigs with 3- to 4-inch plastic worms in natural shad, Aaron’s Magic, and Orange Crusher colors. Keitechs on darter heads and deep-diving crankbaits also produced largemouth. Crappie reports were limited but showed good quality for anglers using small live shiners and mini jigs. Catfish anglers had solid results with dip bait, cut mackerel, and fresh shrimp.
