With last week’s heavy storms, Lake Isabella has inched up to 33% of capacity. Water temperatures are holding around 55 degrees, and the fish have settled into their winter patterns. Anglers are finding a few crankbait fish on the main lake points, but it’s definitely a quality-over-quantity bite right now. Rocky Point, Piney Point, and French Gulch are all producing solid fish. Some nice catches are coming on creature baits and jigs. A few crappie are being picked up near the marinas on various colored jigs and live shiners. Catfish reports also came in this week, with dip baits and shad getting the job done
