The bass bite has been strong at Ming Lake, with solid action reported on 5- and 6-inch Senkos in various colors, especially green pumpkin. Rattle traps, small jerkbaits, and flukes have also been producing fish, and several larger bass were reported this week on 5- to 7-inch soft-plastic swimbaits. Bluegill are biting on wax worms, meal worms, and red worms, while carp are being caught on dough baits and smaller catfish on dip baits and mackerel. There are still no trout plants scheduled for Ming Lake, but that could change at any time.
