Lake Nacimiento climbed to 37 percent of capacity after recent storms, and the rising water put a damper on the bite, but anglers still found fish in deeper water. Drop shot rigs, Neko rigs, and jigs produced in the 15- to 30-foot zone, and vertical spoons dropped on schooling fish picked off some solid spotted and white bass. Catfish hit anchovies, chicken liver, and dip bait. Panfish were taken over deeper structure on crappie jigs and live worms.
