The lake dropped to 35% capacity, but fishing remained solid across most species. Spotted and largemouth bass hit topwater, subsurface reaction baits, and finesse presentations. The topwater bite has slowed but still produced with poppers, walking baits, and Whopper Plopper-style lures. Crankbaits, underspins, and small jerkbaits kept anglers busy through the day, while Senkos, drop shot rigs, and small jigs handled the finesse bite. Productive colors were dark green, brown, baitfish tones, and occasionally purple. White bass chased shad near bait balls, striking topwater and spoons. Catfish and crappie reports were scattered as most anglers focused on bass.
