The aqueduct near Bakersfield continued to produce strong action for both catfish and striped bass. Most of the zebras were taken on cut bait, while other anglers reported steady catches on white Flukes rigged on jig heads, topwater lures, and jerkbaits. Catfish were plentiful and bit readily on cut sardines, anchovies, chicken liver, and dip bait. Largemouth bass were active in the slower moving sections of the canal, striking topwater poppers and drop-shot rigs in brown and dark green.

Lake Isabella: Lake Isabella has dropped slightly to 35 percent of capacity, but fishing remains solid across the lake
Kern River: Anglers have reported steady trout action throughout the 20-mile stretch
Lake Kaweah: Kaweah Lake sat at 9 percent of its storage capacity, and fishing was good
Lake Success: Bass anglers reported another decent week of fishing
