The lake rose to 19 percent of capacity last week, and the winter pattern settled in. Smaller baits fished deep and slow drew most of the bites. Deep-diving crankbaits, jigs, vertical spoons, and slow-rolled swimbaits also produced. Crappie came from the submerged trees near the inlet, and catfish remained reliable in the deeper shoreline holes.
