The water level dropped a couple of feet to 35 percent of capacity, and fishing stayed consistent for several species. Spotted bass were the easiest targets in 10 to 40 feet of water and held on main and secondary points as well as bluff walls. Finesse rigs produced bass to 30 feet, while spoons and Damiki rigs drew bites deeper. Square-billed crankbaits worked early and late in the day. White bass chased in-line spinners, white swimbaits, and live minnows. Catfish anglers did well on cut mackerel, and crappie were reported on mini jigs and small deep-diving crankbaits.
